Manufacturing & Retail

Today's world provides for a strong collaboration between Manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and retail chains. Whether it is an intranet for your internal manufacturing to shipment mechanism or an extranet for suppliers and distributors that take your goods out into the market, every company has improved efficiencies with the help of software and 'enterprise resource planning' systems. All these improvements have helped the process of reducing cost and/or increasing market-share, and effectively increasing the company's business growth.

Right from their online presence to physical locations, Moxie has helped all in this manufacturer-retail chain to leverage technology to reach and exceed their business goals. For this to be achieved, Moxie brings both, a solid understanding of your industry, your product life-cycle, your distribution network and all the technologies that underlie your own or similar industry processes. Our goal is to deliver technologies that provide the Manufacturing-Retain industry with real, tangible value and benefits, with increased productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

We usually encounter three types of situations where Moxie has successfully implemented solutions that have not only worked but thrived in our clients' environment:

    a) Some clients prefer to work with off-the-shelf software, but this again becomes hard to implement once the intricacies and nuances of customization creep into the equation. Moxie comes in to help mitigate those issues. Whether it is with small, mid-sized businesses or larger corporations, we have seen that supporting off-the-shelf software can become a very expensive proposition, especially when you go back to the OEM to get a fix. We have consistently come in at under 70% of the cost for supporting an existing off-the-shelf solution successfully.

    b) A second scenario is when the client would like to create/build software from scratch that would completely suit their workflows and environments. This approach requires and starts with a strong industry expert who plays the role of a "Systems/Business Analyst" who can truly study and decipher your business needs and translate them into calculable software solutions. Right from design through development, testing and release Moxie has project-managed, developed, tested and delivered software that has helped our clients achieve precise goals that can be translated back into better productivity, revenue and profit-margins.

    c) The third type of relation involves a mix of the first two. Many times clients are not satisfied with their existing software, whether it is off-the-shelf or built from scratch. There are also times when Moxie has walked in and, depending on the needs of the customer, has helped them to pick or select software, or has actually recommended the use of off-the-shelf software that would work best for them. We have then, successfully, blended customizations into software to help adapt to the clients' workflows. This also brings in the aspect of 'Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)' into the equation. Software written with the right intention must have the ability to communicate with other software. In today's world, there is always existing software that most users are resistant to change. In these often situation, Moxie is able to create a well-integrated solution that helps clients continue to use their existing software while still making sure that they have their customizations in place, and most importantly, have all of these different systems integrated in a coherent manner.

For a Manufacturing and/or Retail Enterprise Moxie has a range of technologies that it has helped build with one or more of these above three scenarios:

With the today's globally competitive landscape, companies are constantly looking for ways to increase their productivity by capitalizing on global partners, but these chosen partners, should know your domain, know your technologies, and have a strict and trusted process of delivery. Moxie understands that this trust isn't earned overnight or over one conversation, so we would like to suggest a sliver-approach. If you could engage us in a sliver of your project portfolio to test our deliverables, then you could consider expanding the relationship from there. If you would like to talk to us or would like us to reach out to you about this approach, please drop us a note through our 'contact us' page.
